Mainstays table sets recalled by Walmart

Multinational retailer Walmart is recalling thousands of table sets that were sold in the U.S. after several injuries were reported.

Walmart issued the recall on Thursday, January 2. The recall affects over 70,000 card table sets manufactured by the “Mainstays” home goods company. The defective tables and chairs were sold in the U.S. from May 2013 to November 2013.

Injury reports range from minor injuries like back aches to major injuries such as finger amputations. Consumers are advised to immediately stop using the table set and return it to Walmart for a refund.

Manufacturers should be held responsible for the injuries that their products cause to consumers. If you have been injured by defective products in Cedar Rapids, contact the Leehey Olson Law, P.C.. Give us a call at (319) 294-4424 to speak with an experienced professional today.
