Ignition interlock devices required for vehicles of DUI offenders

Posted on Friday, March 14th, 2014 at 7:51 pm

On March 11, Iowa lawmakers voted to amend the current drunk driving law.

In a vote of 28-20, the Iowa senate approved an amendment to the current drunk driving bill. The change will require drunk driving offenders to have ignition interlock devices installed in their vehicles before being allowed on the road. The ignition interlock device disables the car from starting if the driver is intoxicated.

Unfortunately victims of drunken driving accidents often suffer from serious injuries. If you have been injured because of the carelessness of a drunk driver, you shouldn’t be responsible for expenses related to your injuries.
