Felt Bicycles recalls defective triathlon cycles

Posted on Tuesday, April 29th, 2014 at 7:12 pm

Thousands of potentially dangerous bicycles sold in the United States and Canada were recalled after injuries were reported.

Reports mention that the recall affects about 3,500 Felt triathlon bikes. The defective bikes have breakable aluminum steering tubes. Owners of the affected bicycles could sustain injuries if the steer tube suddenly breaks while the bike is in motion.

Felt Bicycles received at least 18 complaints related to the defective bikes. Consumers who own the recalled bikes are advised to contact the company through their hotline for a free steering tube replacement.

People who are injured while using defective products could old the manufacturer accountable for the financial losses related to their injuries.
