Texting while driving ban gains momentum

Posted on Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 1:53 pm

Legislatures in Iowa and others states across the country are continuing to push for stricter texting while driving laws. These laws will likely include outright bans on texting while anyone operates a vehicle.

The bans are the result of numerous reports and anecdotes of individuals being injured or killed by drivers who were texting. In some cases, the bans may be extended to any use of cell phones while driving.
