A national recall has recently been made by Kawasaki in connection to it’s Concours 14 models that were produced between 2008 and 2012.
The recall stems from an issue with the brake pedal and the guard of the bikes. According to reports, there is a small gap in between these two areas that could result in the overheating of the rear brake. This malfunction could cause the bikes to be more susceptible to accidents.
Owners of these specific motorcycles will have the problem fixed for free, and Kawasaki had planned on beginning the notification process on July 30, 2012. The motorcycle company estimates that 13,289 models are involved in this recall.
