Two siblings have died after their grandparents' car was struck by a drunk driver on their way back home from church. The 7 year-old boy died shortly after the crash, and his 10 year-old sister succumbed to her injuries last night.
Both grandparents' suffered minor injuries and were released from the hospital. A third child, a 9 year-old girl, was also in the vehicle but is expected to fully recover.
The 37 year-old drunk driver has been charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and driving with an open container of alcohol.
Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the young victims.
