Basketball player P.J. Hairston suspended for reckless driving

Posted on Tuesday, July 30th, 2013 at 4:23 pm

A basketball player at the University of North Carolina (UNC) was suspended by his coach from playing after he was charged with reckless driving
on afternoon of Sunday, July 28.

UNC’s P.J. Hairston was indefinitely suspended by his coach Roy Williams hours after he was pulled over by Highway Patrol on southbound I-85 around 4 p.m. Hairston was charged with speeding, and careless and reckless driving. The incident was not Hairston’s first time to get in trouble with the law, as he was arrested last month for illegal possession of marijuana and driving without a license. The charges were dismissed by the court after the basketball player complied with court conditions.

Sadly, many people in Cedar Rapids sustain injuries every year due to reckless drivers. If you have been injured in such a car accident, speak with a lawyer at Leehey Olson Law, P.C., by calling (319) 294-4424 to discuss your legal options.
